The mission

We were asked to design and build a new website that reflects the reputable & modern nature of the accountancy firm.

With the business maintaining two websites, we needed a strategy to make best use of both domains.

Ensuring that the website responded correctly on all devices a core objective of the project was to improve the technical SEO of new Wisteria domain, ensuring that search-engine spiders can crawl & index the site properly.

Strategy

We recommended that the two legacy websites were merged into a single company domain.

Creating a new design to meet the needs of the merged websites whilst keeping in mind ease of use, aesthetic appeal and SEO was to prove the biggest challenge.

Approach

The site was redesigned to highlight Wisteria’s unique values and people oriented way of business.

Development was broken down into 2 week sprints. As pages were designed and signed off, the functionality to manage them was added to the new CMS and released for QC.

This process made best use of the available client time on the project.

The new website aims to differentiate the firm from their competition. It showcases the modern, custom feel the firm was aiming for, while still running smoothly, efficiently and always keeping SEO front of mind.

One key requirement was the ability for Wisteria to take full control over their pages, media and SEO. Using WordPress for the website allowed us to provide a quick, simple CMS.
