The mission

Take My Spare is a fun and unique online community and marketplace designed for people to to list and find spare tickets to live events–with the opportunity to attend the event with the person buying or selling!

Users can speak to each other over live chat in advance of an event, and then attend together if they both decide it’s a good fit.  The seller chooses a sale price and receives the funds through Take My Spare; or they can offer the ticket for free.

Take My Spare had a vision to connect two distinct users with a variety of event types, be it as friends or on a date.  We were tasked with bringing this vision to life.

Working closely as a team during the initial strategy phase of work, we helped to shape the strategy and direction for the project.

Design that connects

We needed to really connect with a young, vibrant target audience

It was clear from the outset that the creative website design for the new platform needed to resonate with young urban adults.

The design for the new dating website was centered around creating a modern, user-friendly, and intuitive interface that would appeal to the target demographic of young adults.

The use of vibrant colors, clear typography, and bold imagery was employed to create a visually engaging experience.

The user interface was designed to be intuitive and easy to use, with clear calls-to-action and a clean layout.

Additionally, the website was designed to be mobile-responsive, ensuring that it could be accessed on any device.

A detailed functional specification and wireframes for the main website areas was drawn up before we set about creating an engaging look and feel for the product.

Technical excellence

Working from a mobile first perspective, our laravel development agency quickly created a workable website prototype that allowed us to test out the core functionality of the website.

The new dating website offers a range of features designed to help users find compatible partners and connect with them.

Our website developers in London created a matchmaking algorithm was designed to provide accurate matches based on users’ interests, preferences, and behavior on the site.

Users can search for potential matches based on criteria such as age, location, interests, and more.

In addition, the website offers a messaging system that allows users to communicate with each other directly.

Users can also create a profile, upload photos, and share their interests and hobbies to provide a more comprehensive view of themselves to potential matches.

Finally, the website offers a range of security and privacy features, including verification of user accounts and the ability to block and report users who engage in inappropriate behavior.

Using the valuable feedback from this process, tweaks were made to the architecture before we set about creating a beta version of the website.
