Project summary

Polyseam partnered MintTwist to re-imagine and completely overhaul their dated website.

Polyseam approached MintTwist to redesign and rebuild their corporate marketing site, as well as the primary site for their renowned Protecta brand.

MintTwist took a full audit of the site to ascertain which parts of the user experience needed improvement. Polyseam felt that the old website no longer represented their business–they’d outgrown it and needed a whole new solution. The creative and technology teams at MintTwist visited the manufacturing site to get a full feel for the business and to gauge the personality behind the company.

Our approach allowed us to provide a site that not only better suited the growth of Polyseam’s business, but also one that is much easier to navigate, loads four times faster and is fully responsive.

Technical challenges

Previously to this redesign, Polyseam’s branded products were all included in the parent brand site, creating a messy and difficult to navigate site that, over time, had become too cumbersome to manage.

MintTwist embarked on a task of decoupling the content and creating a new site map designed to emphasize the brand values and the company’s personality, as well as highlight the breadth of manufacturing the business runs daily.

The new site is smaller and less busy, with key information and calls to action given top priority. Product and sub-brand information is still present and easy to find without complicating the overall website message.

Strategy

The teams at MintTwist kept in regular contact with the various parties at Polyseam to ensure the project ran smoothly, which was especially important given the project was in fact multiple, differently-designed websites developed in parallel.

Through site visits and regular catch-up meetings with stakeholders we were able to plan the site architecture and functionality with ease, and we adhered strictly to the Polyseam brand whilst evolving the digital assets to better reflect how much the company had grown.

The result

The final product is a fast and responsive site with a clear purpose.

Our work has helped to deliver a higher conversion rate (get-in-touch rate increased 15%) and a simpler architecture coupled with a fresher design projects the true position of where Polyseam sits in their industry today.
