Felt Music

Felt Music are a music supervision, licensing and production company, the answer to all your music needs.

We created a bespoke website and music library management system to take the music consultancy to the next level.

The mission

Felt is a music consultancy specialising in creating and producing bespoke music for video, commercials, television and film. Based in Soho, the company bolsters a talented staff known for their encyclopedic knowledge of music, consultancy and production talents.

Felt wanted to take their company to the next level and asked us to help them get there by updating their branding, web design and creating an elaborate and unique music library.

Behind the Scenes

We analysed the existing website and created a detailed report highlighting the current performance and areas for improvement.

We also oversaw several sessions with members of the business to understand how the existing business processes were being managed. It quickly became clear that there would be a huge opportunity to save the business time and money by incorporating several manual, offline processes into the new CMS.

Music library

We decided that we would completely re-design their website to align with fresh branding and building a music library with browsing, downloading and playlist creating capabilities.

Behind the scenes, we would build a bespoke music library for Felt that utilised all the capabilities needed for an efficient system.

We developed the ability for users to download music, create and share playlists, categorise tracks and an in-depth search function that would work throughout the library – as well as a custom WAV player that would allow the user to control the tracks with a visual accompaniment.

The site looks so much better and we’ve even received comments from our clients saying how much they prefer it! Amazing work guys!

Bringing it all together

We designed and built a stand-alone marketing site for Felt that would act as a front for the music library’s functionality.

The back office is a custom-built CMS that allows Felt to manage their vast array of music content as well as to copy data internally resulting in a unique and dynamic website and music library for Felt.

The result

A wonderful new website for a fabulous well-loved brand.

The website has saved a huge number of admin hours per week with the way in which we have streamlined some of the core operational tasks within the back-office system.
